Kiln Hire in Liverpool – Potterycrafts Aurora (40L)
I have a 40 litre Potterycrafts Aurora kiln available to
hire from my studio in West Derby, Liverpool.
Kiln details
- Chamber size: 357mm (height) x 400mm (width)
- Capacity example: 20 mugs plus a plate or shelf of test tiles for glaze firing (more for bisque)
- Firing range: Bisque to 950 °C and Glaze to 1240 °C (flexible if you’re filling the kiln — just check your clay and glaze specs first)
Prices
- Full kiln bisque firing – £35
- Half kiln bisque firing – £20
- Full kiln glaze firing – £40
- Half kiln glaze firing – £25
- One off pieces can be arranged on an individual basis.
How it works
- You can load your pots yourself,
or I’m happy to load them for you with care.
- Firings take time to heat and cool — your work will usually be
ready for collection the following day.
- Please bring your own packing/boxes when collecting your pieces.
Important information
- All work must be bone dry for bisque.
- For glaze firings, make sure bases are clean and no glaze will flow off your pots.
- Damage caused to shelves or kiln by glaze runs or unprepared bases will need to be covered by you.
- I cannot accept responsibility for breakages or glaze faults that occur during firing.
